Installation Instructions
1. Prior to the installation of the pressure reducing valve, ensure that the pipeline is meticulously cleaned. It's crucial to purge the gas continuously to completely eliminate impurities and particles, such as iron filings, that may have formed during the cutting of the pipeline. This step is vital for maintaining the integrity and performance of the equipment.
2. It is imperative to install a filter upstream of the pressure reducing valve. Failure to do so may result in system particles damaging the seat, causing internal leakage of the regulator, an increase in downstream pressure, and potential harm to the outlet pressure gauge or other equipment. For optimum protection and efficiency, a filter element with an accuracy of at least 20 microns is highly recommended.
3. When dealing with NPT thread installations, it's best to avoid using thread glue or liquid raw material tape. Incorrect application can easily cause liquid to seep into the valve filter, leading to blockages. This blockage might result in a lack of pressure at the valve port or an undesirably low flow rate, affecting the system's overall performance.
4. When adjusting the pressure in a flowing state, turn the handle clockwise to increase and counterclockwise to decrease the outlet pressure. If the outlet pressure is turned down to zero, the pressure reducing valve's handle should remain loose. Be mindful that excessive counterclockwise rotation may cause the threads to jam or the handle to become loose, rendering it unadjustable.
5. It is strongly advised against using the reducing valve as a globe valve over extended periods. Doing so may lead to seat deformation, which in turn could cause an unstable flow rate. Proper usage ensures the longevity and reliability of the equipment.
6. Handle all components with great care to prevent any impact, especially those fitted with pressure gauges. Pressure gauges are delicate and can easily be damaged by external forces, which could compromise their accuracy and the overall system safety.
