Installation Instructions
1. Prior to the installation of the pressure reducing valve, it is imperative that you ensure the pipeline is meticulously cleaned. Engage in a continuous purging process to expel any impurities and particles that may have resulted from pipeline cutting activities, such as iron filings, to maintain a flawless operation.
2. The installation of a filter upstream of the pressure reducing valve is essential. Neglecting this step can lead to the intrusion of system particles, which may damage the valve seat, cause internal leakage, result in a rise in downstream pressure, and potentially harm the outlet pressure gauge or other sensitive equipment. We strongly recommend utilizing a filter element with a precision not exceeding 20 microns.
3. It is advisable to avoid using thread glue or liquid raw material belt for NPT thread installations. Improper application could inadvertently lead to the flow of liquid into the valve filter, resulting in its blockage. This could ultimately cause the valve port to lose pressure or significantly reduce the flow rate, compromising system efficiency.
4. In a dynamic flow state, adjust the outlet pressure by rotating the handle clockwise to increase or counterclockwise to decrease it. Reducing the outlet pressure to zero necessitates that the handle of the pressure reducing valve remains in a relaxed position. Excessive counterclockwise adjustments may cause thread jams or result in the handle becoming loose and unresponsive for further adjustments.
5. Prolonged use of the reducing valve as a globe valve is not advisable, as it may lead to seat deformation, causing instability in flow rate. For optimal performance, adhere to the specific functional use of each component.
6. Exercise exceptional care to prevent any impact, particularly on reducing valves equipped with pressure gauges. These delicate components are highly sensitive and can suffer damage from external forces, affecting the accuracy and reliability of pressure readings.
