Installation Instructions
1. Prior to installing the pressure reducing valve, it is crucial to ensure that the pipeline is thoroughly cleaned. Initiate a continuous gas purge to eliminate any impurities or particles, like iron filings, that may have been introduced during the pipeline cutting process.
2. For optimal performance, a filter must always be installed upstream of the pressure reducing valve. Without it, system particles could damage the valve seat, leading to internal leakage, a rise in downstream pressure, and potential damage to the outlet pressure gauge or other sensitive equipment. A filter element with a precision of no less than 20 microns is strongly advised.
3. When using NPT thread installations, avoid employing thread glue or liquid raw material belts. Incorrect application may result in liquid entering the valve filter, causing blockages that lead to insufficient pressure or flow rate issues at the valve port.
4. To adjust the flowing state, rotate the handle clockwise to increase outlet pressure or counterclockwise to decrease it. If reducing the pressure to zero, ensure the handle remains in a relaxed position. Be cautious, as excessive counterclockwise turning can result in thread jamming, or a loose handle that resists further adjustments.
5. It is inadvisable to utilize the reducing valve as a globe valve function for extended durations, as this could lead to seat deformation, thereby compromising the stability of the flow rate.
6. Exercise utmost care when handling to avert any impact, especially concerning reducing valves equipped with pressure gauges. These gauges are delicate and susceptible to damage from external forces.
