Installation Instructions

Installation Instructions
1. Prior to the installation of the pressure reducing valve, ensure a pristine pipeline environment by thoroughly cleaning the system. This involves continuous gas purging to efficiently eliminate impurities and particles, such as iron filings, that may have been produced during pipeline cutting activities.
2. It is essential to position a filter upstream of the pressure reducing valve. This proactive measure safeguards against system particles that can compromise the seat integrity, potentially causing internal leaks, unwarranted increases in downstream pressure, and even damage to the outlet pressure gauge or related equipment. A filter element with no less than 20 microns of precision is strongly recommended for optimal performance.
3. The use of thread glue or liquid raw material tape for NPT thread installation is discouraged. Such practices can inadvertently cause liquid to infiltrate the valve filter, leading to blockages. These blockages may result in zero pressure at the valve port or an unsatisfactory flow rate.
4. When adjusting in a flowing state, rotate the handle clockwise to elevate outlet pressure and counterclockwise to reduce it. Should the outlet pressure be set to zero, the handle ought to be in a relaxed position. Be cautious: excessive counterclockwise turns may cause the threads to jam, or the handle to become loose, hindering future adjustments.
5. Avoid utilizing the reducing valve as a globe valve for extended durations. Doing so can lead to seat deformation, which could disrupt the stability of the flow rate, affecting overall system performance.
6. Exercise gentle handling to prevent any impact, especially on reducing valves equipped with pressure gauges. These gauges are delicate components and can be easily damaged by external forces, compromising their functionality.
