Installation Instructions
1. Prior to the installation of the pressure-reducing valve, it is imperative to ensure the pipeline is meticulously cleaned. Perform a thorough purging of the gas line to eliminate impurities and residual particles, including iron filings, which may have been introduced during the pipeline cutting process.
2. Position a filter upstream of the pressure-reducing valve to prevent system particles from damaging the seat, which could lead to internal leakage, an undesirable rise in downstream pressure, and potential damage to the outlet pressure gauge or associated equipment. A filter with an accuracy threshold no less than 20 microns is highly recommended for optimal performance.
3. Exercise caution by avoiding the use of thread glue or liquid raw material tape when installing NPT threads. Misapplication can result in liquid seeping into the valve filter, causing blockages that might impede pressure or drastically reduce flow rates at the valve port.
4. While adjusting, turning the handle clockwise will increase the outlet pressure, whereas counter-clockwise rotation will reduce it. Once reduced to zero, the handle should remain in a loose state to avoid any thread jam or permanent looseness that could hinder future adjustments.
5. Refrain from using the reducing valve as a globe valve over extended periods, as this could deform the seat and result in inconsistent flow rates.
6. Exercise utmost care to shield the valve from impact, particularly those fitted with pressure gauges. These gauges are delicate and can be easily damaged by external forces, compromising their accuracy and functionality.
