Installation Instructions

Installation Instructions
1. Prior to installing the pressure reducing valve, ensure the pipeline is thoroughly cleansed. Engage in continuous gas purging to effectively eliminate impurities and particles, such as iron filings, produced during the pipeline cutting process.
2. It is essential to install a filter upstream of the pressure reducing valve. This preemptive measure protects the system by preventing particles from damaging the seat, which could otherwise lead to internal leakage of the regulator, increased downstream pressure, and potential damage to the outlet pressure gauge or other equipment. We recommend using a filter element with a precision of no less than 20 microns for optimal performance.
3. When installing with NPT threads, avoid using thread glue or liquid raw tapes. Improper application can cause liquid to migrate to the valve filter, resulting in blockages, no pressure at the valve port, or extremely low flow rates. Exercise caution to maintain efficient functionality.
4. Manipulate the handle in the flowing state: turn clockwise to escalate the outlet pressure, or counterclockwise to diminish it. When reducing outlet pressure to zero, the handle should remain in a relaxed position. Excessive counterclockwise turning can lead to a thread jam, or leave the handle loose, thereby hindering future adjustments.
5. Avoid utilizing the reducing valve as a globe valve over extended periods, as this can cause seat deformation and result in an unstable flow rate. Opt for appropriate valves for globe valve functions to preserve the integrity of your system.
6. Exercise utmost care in handling to prevent any impact, especially on reducing valves equipped with pressure gauges. Such gauges are delicate and susceptible to damage from external forces, requiring careful management for sustained operational accuracy.
