Installation Instructions
1. Before embarking on the installation of the pressure reducing valve, it's crucial to ensure the pipeline is meticulously cleaned, with gas being continuously purged to effectively eradicate any impurities and particles created during pipeline cutting, such as iron filings. This step ensures optimal performance and longevity.
2. A filter must be strategically installed upstream of the pressure reducing valve. Neglecting this can lead to system particles damaging the seat, resulting in internal leakage of the regulator, a rise in downstream pressure, and potential damage to the outlet pressure gauge or other equipment. It is advisable to use a filter element with a precision of not less than 20 microns for optimal system protection.
3. For installations involving NPT threads, it is advised to refrain from using thread glue or liquid raw material belts. Improper application could lead to liquid encroaching upon the valve filter, potentially causing blockage, resulting in zero pressure at the valve port, or a significantly reduced flow rate.
4. When adjusting the valve in a flowing state, rotate the handle clockwise to increase the outlet pressure and counterclockwise to decrease it. When reducing pressure to zero, ensure the handle remains in a relaxed state to avoid thread jamming or loosening, which would hinder further adjustments.
5. It is not recommended to employ the reducing valve as a globe valve over prolonged periods, as this can lead to deformation of the seat, causing an unstable flow rate. To maintain functionality and stability, adhere strictly to the intended use.
6. Handle all components with utmost care to prevent any impact, particularly with reducing valves equipped with pressure gauges. Given their sensitivity, pressure gauges can easily be damaged by external forces, leading to inaccurate readings or complete failure.
