Installation Instructions
1. Prior to embarking on the installation of the Gas Single-Seat AFKLOK China Pressure Reducing Valve, ensure the pipeline is meticulously cleaned. Engage in a continuous purging of gas to effectively eliminate any impurities and particles that may have arisen during the pipeline cutting process, such as iron filings, guaranteeing optimal conditions for installation.
2. An upstream filter installation is crucial to safeguarding the integrity of the pressure reducing valve. Without it, system particles can wreak havoc on the seat, precipitating internal leakage, unexpected downstream pressure surges, and potential damage to the outlet pressure gauge or other equipment. We highly recommend the use of a filter element with a precision of at least 20 microns to ensure seamless operation.
3. When employing NPT thread installation, it is advised to refrain from utilizing thread glue or liquid raw material belts. Incorrect application can inadvertently cause the liquid to seep into the valve filter, resulting in blockages, a lack of pressure at the valve port, or a significantly reduced flow rate, thus compromising system efficiency.
4. To adjust outlet pressure in a flowing system, turn the handle clockwise to increase pressure and counterclockwise to decrease it. Once the outlet pressure is lowered to zero, ensure the handle is in a relaxed state. Over-rotating counterclockwise can lead to thread jams or a loosened handle that becomes difficult to adjust again.
5. Avoid using the reducing valve as a globe valve for prolonged periods, as this may cause seat deformation and result in an unstable flow rate, thereby affecting overall performance and durability.
6. Treat the valve with utmost care to prevent any impact, particularly on models equipped with pressure gauges. These gauges are delicate, sensitive components that can be easily damaged by external forces, affecting their accuracy and reliability.
