Installation Instructions
1. Prior to installing the pressure reducing valve, ensure that the pipeline is meticulously cleaned. It is crucial to continuously purge the gas to effectively eliminate any impurities and particles-such as iron filings-that may have accumulated during pipeline cutting. This guarantees optimal performance and longevity of the valve.
2. It is imperative to install a filter upstream of the pressure reducing valve. Failure to do so may result in system particles causing damage to the seat, which can lead to internal leakage of the regulator. This may cause a rise in downstream pressure, potentially damaging the outlet pressure gauge or other equipment. We recommend utilizing a filter element with an accuracy of no less than 20 microns for superior protection.
3. For NPT thread installations, avoid using thread glue or liquid raw material belts. Improper use may cause liquid to flow into the valve filter, leading to filter blockages. This could result in a lack of pressure at the valve port, or a significantly reduced flow rate.
4. In a flowing state, adjust the outlet pressure by turning the handle clockwise to increase it, and counterclockwise to decrease it. When reducing the outlet pressure to zero, the handle should remain in a relaxed position. Be cautious of excessive counterclockwise rotations, as this may cause thread jamming or a loose handle, impairing future adjustments.
5. Avoid utilizing the reducing valve as a globe valve for extended periods. This practice may deform the seat, leading to an unstable flow rate and compromised system performance.
6. Exercise utmost care when handling the valve to prevent impacts, particularly for reducing valves equipped with pressure gauges. These sensitive components are vulnerable to damage from external forces, potentially affecting their accuracy and functionality.
