Installation Instructions
1. Prior to installing the pressure reducing valve, ensure the pipeline is meticulously cleaned. Conduct a continuous purge with gas to effectively eliminate impurities and particles, such as iron filings, that may have accumulated during pipeline cutting.
2. It's essential to install a filter upstream of the pressure reducing valve. Without it, system particles can damage the seat, leading to internal leaks, increased downstream pressure, and potential harm to the outlet pressure gauge or other equipment. We recommend a filter element with a precision of at least 20 microns for optimal performance.
3. For NPT thread installations, avoid using thread glue or liquid raw material belts. Improper application can cause liquid to flow to the valve filter, resulting in blockages, pressure loss at the valve port, or reduced flow rates.
4. To adjust the outlet pressure while the system is in operation, turn the handle clockwise to increase and counterclockwise to decrease the pressure. When reducing to zero, ensure the handle is in a relaxed state. Be cautious of excessive counterclockwise turns as it may cause thread jamming or a loose handle, hindering further adjustments.
5. We advise against using the reducing valve as a globe valve for extended periods, as this may cause seat deformation, leading to instability in the flow rate.
6. Exercise extreme care to prevent any impacts, particularly on valves equipped with pressure gauges. These gauges are delicate and could be easily damaged by any external force.
